The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) has officially confirmed its active participation in the MESGO programme. IIHF is the sixth team sport partner to come on board of this European programme. IIHF President, Mr. René Fasel, stressed the valuable content of the MESGO for senior sport managers working in a European context.

EHF awards scholarship
On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Danish National Federation, the EHF decided to award a scholarship for a female Danish applicant for the Executive Master in European Sport Governance. The EHF will fully sponsor the successful applicant.

Official website of the Association of European Team Sports is launched
The Association of European Team Sports (ETS) established last December has launched its official website at: www.europeanteamsports.com
ETS was created with the main objective to represent and promote the interests of European team sports and to discuss issues concerning team sports within a European context.
More information about ETS history, objectives, structures and members is provided on the website. A section is dedicated to the MESGO programme.
Good Governance in Sport Event at Birkbeck
The Birkbeck Sport Business Centre is hosting a one-day event focusing on governance in sport on April 16th 2010, with confirmed speakers including UEFA, the Bundesliga, England Netball, Fast Track and Sport Resolutions.
The event will also see the launch of a report charting standards of governance in UK national governing bodies of sport recently produced by the Sport Business Centre.

CEV, the fifth team sports partner to join MESGO
The European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) has officially confirmed its active participation in the MESGO programme. CEV is the fifth team sport partner to come on board this academic initiative. CEV President, Mr. André Meyer, has expressed his enthusiasm in supporting the continued professional development of senior sport managers working in a European context.
Signing of agreements between all partners
On November 19th 2009, the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, hosted the official ceremony marking the signing of the agreements between the different partners. This ceremony launched the Executive Master in European Sport Governance and sealed the commitment of both academic and sporting partners in ensuring the success of this top quality training programme.
